Honda Malaysia has issued a statement which provides clarification on the recent recall of the Honda Jazz. The company states that the affected models are the 1st Generation Jazz 1.4 (2003 Model Year) as well as the 2nd Generation Honda City (2008 Model Year). The recall is for possible failure of its power window master switch, which under extreme slippage, could cause short-circuit.

As of today, no faulty cases have been reported in Malaysia for the 12,935 units of the City concerned as well as 3,090 units of the Jazz mentioned. However, Honda Malaysia is now issuing a call for a 'Product Update’ for these models.

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Toyota Motor Sales USA is recalling 2.3 million vehicles to correct a problem that could cause the vehicles' gas pedals to stick.

This new recall is separate from an on-going recall of 4.2 million Toyota and Lexus vehicles to correct a problem in which the pedals could become stuck under a loose floormat.

This new recall is to correct a situation in which the gas pedal could stick without the presence of a floor mat.
